Welcome to the new year!!
Good morning everyone I hope you have had an amazing Christmas and a goood start to the new year. Class resumes on the 6th of January which is this Sunday. For those that attended the presentation night just before Christmas we heard from Storey Arms regarding new events they will be hosting for everyone. Below are the details for one of the events mentioned. The Storey Arms Centre invites you to a Stargazing Event hosted by Dark Sky Wales http://darkskywalestrainingservices.co.uk/ Monday 14th January 2019 from 7.00 pm £8.00 per adult / £4.00 per child (proceeds to the Friends of Storey Arms) For the first time, the Storey Arms Centre is putting on a Stargazing Event! During the afternoon, we are welcoming some Cardiff school pupils to look at the night sky through our binoculars and telescopes in the first designated dark sky area in the UK. There will also be a chance for them to observe the night sky in Dark Sky Wales’ planetarium at the Centre if the sky is obscured by cloud! Rather than pack up after they leave, we would love to welcome our Friends and families to join us for the evening and enjoy some stargazing (hopefully!) and/or a 30-40 minute presentation in the planetarium! Chilli and cornbread, tea, coffee and the infamous Storey Arms’ cake will be available. We only have spaces for 35 people so please email Carolyn Cummings at friendsstoreyarms@btinternet.com to book your place as soon as possible. Andy Meek Head of Centre & Brecon Beacons National Park Dark Sky Ambassador.
Looking forward to this year. Lots of good things going on.
Will keep you posted.
