Welcome to Cardiff North Taekwon-Do School, and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Here you will gain a picture of how you can benefit from Taekwon-Do, as well as the warm welcome, and highest standard of training we provide within our Taekwon-Do family.
I have studied Taekwon-Do all of my life, being a part of the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association for more than 40 years.
I have enjoyed every aspect the Martial Art provides including competing at every level, and having been taught by the senior Grand Masters and Masters across the world. I have received the highest level of training and instruction from the original Grand Masters and Masters of the original Taekwon-Do. I have received a lifetime of instruction from my Instructor Grand Master Michael Prewett.
I am an International Instructor “A Class”, achieving the VI Degree and have been teaching for well in excess of 25 years, this has allowed me the experience and qualification of instructing people from all walks of life. I am trained in the Instructing of Vulnerable Adults and Young People. I am here to help you.
I am an International Umpire, “A Class” and have umpired at the highest level across in Europe. This allows me to take my experience from competing at a National level into the development of others and have numerous students that compete Nationally and at a World level.
The entire reason why I started Taekwon-Do was to increase my confidence and belief in myself. To develop self-defense skills that would allow me to become a strong and productive member of society. I have experienced first-hand what Taekown-Do has to offer and my entire purpose is to now allow you the same, providing you with the highest level of training and opportunity to develop at any level.
I am able to bring this experience and encourage you to be the best that you can be, to allow you to see what you are capable of and to work with you to achieve those realistic goals.

I have been part of a Taekwon-Do Family for over 40 years and part of Cardiff North Taekwon Do School from the beginning, which was some 20 years ago now. When I was invited to become the School Secretary and Treasurer.
I have never looked back and I am honored to be part of such a dedicated team and the Family ethos that Cardiff North Taekwon-Do School emanates.
Through Cardiff North TKD my circle of family and friends is ever-increasing.

I myself started training in Taekwon-Do for over 10 years now.
I have always been into martial arts and all forms but this is the place I feel at home. The school gives a good warm welcome to whoever comes along and this makes coming to class more enjoyable every week.
We train hard and learn a lot of different things from patterns to self-defense for everyday situations. The ethos of the club is what makes it family-based.
Having recently been promoted to the team as the website administrator is a great honor and Mr. Johns has nothing but faith and confidence in whoever comes to class.
