

The school was founded in 2002 and boasts a large, enthusiastic and friendly population of students from the age of five years and upwards.
Taekwon-do (Tae = foot; kwon = fist; do = art) is an effective and superior form of martial art. It employs hand and foot techniques for self defence. The physical and psychological foundations of Tae-kwon-do (TKD) were scientifically developed and systemised by Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi. It is a great way to remain fit, to be able to defend yourself and more importantly to have fun.
Our instructor Mr Darren Johns 3rd Dan (UKTA, ITF), has in excess of 15 years experience of Taekwon- Do, including a number of championship titles. He has trained under Senior Master M. Prewett, maintaining a high level of excellence within the United Kingdom TaeKwon-do Association (UKTA).
Mr Johns, together with Senior Grades within the school, is fully qualified in the awareness and instruction of children and vulnerable persons. Receiving the Home Office approved 'Child Protection Course'. This included the highest level of security assessment and registration with the British Taekwon-do Association and the Home Office, in the instruction of children and vulnerable persons, including instruction in 'Health and Safety' and 'Risk Assessment'.
The school will accept anyone who is fit enough to train from the age of 5 upwards, class times and contact details are on the contacts page, so whether it is for the study of Taekwon-do, fitness, self defence or just to find out what it is all about please do come along to one of the classes and see for yourself.
