Donations

Would like to make a donation? Then contact us and pick an event (or two).

If you would prefer to make a donation direct to the Alzheimer’s Society rather than through sponsoring one of our charity events please click here.

If you do make a donation as a result of our web-site, then please let us know, we don’t want any personal information or details of your donation, merely that you have made one. This will enable us to gauge our success and improve in subsequent years.

What we believe

We are proud to announce that for 2009 / 2010 our charity of the year will be the Cardiff and Vale Alzheimer’s Society.

Through the partnership we hope to raise money to support people with dementia and their carers in the Cardiff and Vale area.

Our clubs strength to raise funds is through having a wide range of students of all ages and backgrounds, levels of education and employment and most of all through the clubs close family environment and desire that we are known for what we do for others and not what we do for ourselves as individuals.

Our aim

Following on from Cardiff North’s TKD Schools success and continued expansion, a committee decision was made in June 2009 to introduce a policy with regard to adopting a charity on an annual basis.

Ideas...

A quote from Neil Hunt, Chief Executive of the Alzheimer’s Society, “Dementia is a devastating condition that robs people of their lives. That’s why Alzheimer’s Society needs to raise money to care for people today and find a cure for tomorrow.” Do you have any good fund raising ideas, or would you like to be involved in any of our fund raising activities?...

Our Plan

As Cardiff North’s charity of the year, the Cardiff and Vale Alzheimer’s Society will receive donations from a whole range of fun fund raising events. We kicked things off this year at our annual summer BBQ (see the photographs).

Up and coming events include sponsored walking and the usual raffles, demonstrations and meals and maybe even duck or snail racing!
