

CHON JI
Chon Ji literally means 'Heaven and Earth'. In the Orient it is interpreted as the beginning of the world or the creation of human history,therefore it is the initial pattern performed by the beginner. It consists of two similar parts, one representing
Heaven and the other representing the earth.
The pattern has 19 movements.

Parallel stance (Narani sogi)
Walking stance (Gunnon sogi) for low block
L-stance (Niunja Sogi) for middle block.
Defending moves:
Outer forearm low block (Najunde Bakat Palmok Makgi)
Middle inner forearm block (Kaunde An Palmok Makgi).
Attacking moves:
Forefist middle front punch (ap joomuk kaunde ap jirugi)
Sparring:
Three step semi-free sparring (Sambo Matsogi)
