Defending moves:

An palmok makgi - Inner forearm block

Doo Palmok Makgi - Double forearm block

Sonbadak golcho makgi - Palm hooking block

Sang Sonkal Makgi  - Twin knife-hand block

Bakat palmok makgi - Outer forearm block

 

Attacking moves:

Ap joomuk jirugi - Forefist punch

Apcha busigi -  Front snap kick

Yopcha jirugi - Side piercing kick

Sun sonkut tulgi - Straight finger tip thrust

YUL-GOK

Yul Gok is the pseudonym of a great philosopher and scholar Yi l (1536 -1584), nicknamed the "Confucius of Korea." The 38 movements of this pattern refer to his birthplace on 38 latitude and the diagram represents "scholar".

Ojuk-hon "Black Bamboo Shrine" is the birthplace of the prominent Confucian scholar / statesman / poet Yi I, more popularly known by his pen name Yul-Gok "Valley of Chestnuts".
