Close ready stance B - Moa junbi sogi B

L-stance - niunja sogi

Rear foot stance - Dwitbal sogi

Walking stance - Gunnun sogi

Low stance - Nachuo sogi

Fixed stance - Gojung sogi

 

Defending moves:

Palm upward block - Sonbadak ollyo makgi

Reverse knifehand side block - Sonkal dung yop makgi

Knife-hand guarding block -Sonkal daebi makgi

Double forearm block - Doo palmok makgi

X-fist rising Block - Kyocha joomuk chookyo makgi

Forearm guarding block - Palmok daebi makgi

U-shape block - Digutja makgi

Palm pressing block - Sonbadak noollo makgi

 

Attacking moves:

Side front snap kick - Yopapcha busigi

Upper elbow strike - Wi palkup taerigi

Twin vertical punch - Sang sewo jirugi

Power:

Power test using standard focus board with a minimum 4 breaks, students choice of techniques. The techniques and attacking tools used must be identified (left and right count as 2 techniques)

Sparring:

One step sparring - Ilbo matsogi

Free sparring - Jayu matsogi

Ahn Choong-Kun shooting Hirobumi Ito

JOONG GUN

Joong Gun is named after the patriot Ahn JoongGun who assassinated HiroBumi Ito, the first Japanese governor general of Korea, known as the man who played the leading part in the Korea / Japan merger. There are 32 movements in this pattern to represent Mr. Ahn's age when he was executed in a LuiShung prison (1910).
